PREVENT! is a local substance abuse prevention coalition working for a healthy, thriving and drug-free Clark County, Washington. PREVENT! is comprised of parents, youth, business owners, medical professionals, government, media, faith-based organizations, and more, all working together to build a healthy, thriving, drug-free community. In October of 2007, PREVENT! received a federal, Drug Free Communities grant, providing $500,000 over a five-year period for community-level prevention work throughout Clark County. We encourage you to get involved!

Our Mission:
To prevent and reduce youth substance abuse and underage drinking through increased collaboration for community-level change.

The PREVENT! Coalition is a proud supporter of the DrugFree.Org Medicine Abuse Project. Join in raising awareness around Rx Drug Abuse by signing the pledge at http://medicineabuseproject.org/ and encouraging your friends, family and co-worker in "Responsible Ownership" by locking up current medications and participating in our Rx Drug Take Back for unused or out-of date medications. Event is Saturday Sept. 29 at the Fisher's Landing Transit Center from 10 am - 2 pm.
